The core team at InspirationZ Theatre is made up of Vanessa and Dwight who have over 30 years combined experience of working with young people. InspirationZ Theatre also works with experienced freelance artists for the productions we stage as well as offering work experience to graduates who wish to improve their prospects within the industry.
Vanessa Norman – Arts Director
Vanessa is an experienced actress having worked in community theatre for over 12 years. As well as acting, she has written and directed over 50 productions of varying sizes and facilitated numerous workshops within the North London community.
Alongside her desire to perform, Vanessa is passionate about young people. Having worked with the youth in her community for over eight years, she has dealt with young people from diverse backgrounds and has been able to get alongside them in an effort to help them improve their lives.
In 2008 Vanessa founded InspirationZ Theatre. As a believer that each and every young person has the potential to succeed, she is committed to working with the vulnerable in particular, to help them get on course with their lives.
Vanessa studied at Anna Scher theatre and the Wenn Stage School and earned her BA (hons) in Media Performance at Luton University. Most recently she earned her level 3 in Education and Training.
Dwight Norman – Youth Coordinator
Dwight has worked with young people since he started coaching a local youth football team in Jamaica over 20 years ago. His commitment to working with the most difficult young people, particularly young men, is evident with over eight years experience working with the men at HMP The Mount on a voluntary basis. Further to this Dwight led a youth group in Edmonton North London for over eight years.
Dwight is a trained mentor and life coach and the skills and knowledge he brings to the team are invaluable. His ability to motivate, encourage and ignite the desire to achieve within the young people he works with is admired by his colleagues and greatly appreciated by the parents of the young people themselves. Dwight also has a PG Cert. in Performing before the Camera.

The InspirationZ Theatre Advisory Board provides expert guidance and help with the ongoing development of the organisation on a regular basis, ensuring we continue to meet the needs of young people in the UK who have a desire to improve their lives. The board currently comprises of:
Margo Annett: – Margo is an accomplished actress, director, teacher and consultant. Her 30 year career in the arts has taken her across the world, and she is renowned as one of the finest vocal coaches in the industry. Margo brings a great deal of expertise to InspirationZ Theatre and her understanding and experience of the work we do enables her to give valuable guidance to the direction of the organisation.
Midi Coker: – Midi, founder of Midi’s Self Development & Hospitality Training Skills, is an award-winning Entrepreneur, Facilitator and Coach with 22 years experience across the hospitality industry in Canada and England. Midi’s dedication to inspire, motivate and empower disengaged young people has gained her great respect in her field. Her knowledge, passion and expertise provide valuable direction for the team at InspirationZ Theatre.
Barry Shamplin: – Barry is an accomplished businessman, having successfully run his own electronics firm for many years. He is also an SFEDI qualified professional business advisor and most recently worked for East London Small Business Centre. He has acted as a business counsellor and professional advisor to InspirationZ Theatre since its conception and has proved invaluable in guiding us in the set up and running of the organisation.
